Check in on the Porter

It's been a few days since I brewed up the batch of porter so I wanted to take some measurements. The weather outside has been quite cold so the basement has been fluctuating between 58 and 62 degrees. I checked this morning and the temps outside were 16 when I woke up. The room where I keep the fermenters is hanging at 58. I really was expecting to see little or no activity in the airlock but much to my surprise it was still bubbling away strong. I pitched two packets of US-05 so I would have a nice quick and clean fermentation. Since it's bubbling strong I will hold off on a gravity reading.
